Continuing Education
Licensees
Resident Producers, Resident Adjusters, Non-Resident Adjusters designating Wyoming as their home state, and Resident Consultants must comply with continuing education requirements.
Licensees listed above are required to complete 24 continuing education credit hours during a two year licensing period. Three of the 24 hours must be approved as ethics hours. Insurance company sponsored hours may not exceed 12 credit hours. A course may not be repeated during the two year licensing period. Excess credit hours do not carry forward into the next licensing period. Courses taken for continuing education reporting purposes must be approved by the Wyoming Insurance Department.
Beginning July 1, 2011, non-resident adjusters are exempt from CE reporting.
Non-resident adjusters designating Wyoming as their home state will be required to complete and report the required continuing education credits.
Filing Due Date
Continuing Education filings must be received prior to the expiration of the license. There is no grace period for license renewal or continuing education filings. If you fail to complete and report the continuing education by the expiration date of your license, the license will lapse.
