Rental Car

Rental Car Endorsees/Producers (Individuals)

An employee or representative of a rental car agency may not offer, sell or solicit rental car insurance unless the individual has been licensed as an endorsee of the agency pursuant to Chapter 50 of the Wyoming Insurance Code. 

Authority: Wyo. Stat. § 26-50-101, et seq.

Prerequisites to Licensure:

·         Must be 18;

·         Must not have committed any act set forth in Wyo. Stat. §26-9-211; and

·         Must have complete pre-licensing training program required by Wyo. Stat. § 26-50-105(e).

Background Check:

·         No independent background check required.

·         Must submit supporting documentation for “yes” answers on application.

Exam: None

Fees:  

·         Initial License $10

·         Annual Renewal $10

·         Uniform Individual Insurance Producer Application (Indicate Rental Car in the “other” field.)

·         Mail application and fees to:

Affiliation

·         Licensure of endorsee is dependent upon affiliation/employment with rental car agency.

Insurance Company Appointment

·         An insurance company appointment is not required for individual endorsees.
