An individual or firm acting or offering to act as an agent or broker for a risk retention group or risk purchasing group must be appropriately licensed to transact the business of insurance in Wyoming. 

Insurance Producers

·        If conducting business in the admitted market, individuals and firms must obtain a producer license with a casualty line of authority.

·        Company appointments are required for producers in Wyoming.  Refer to the Appointment page for information on appointments. 

Surplus Lines Brokers

·        If procuring insurance through the non-admitted or surplus lines market, individuals and firms must obtain a Surplus Lines Broker license.
